BL – 1 Bomb Loader

The BL-1 weapons loader is a self propelled vehicle designed to transport and load weapons and stores on fighter and attack aircrafts. The BL-1 can safely transport and load up to 5000 lbs / 2300 kg allowing it to handle most types of aircraft ordnance with a single vehicle. The vehicle is propelled by powerful 30HP water cooled diesel engine with computerized automotive controlled system. When the vehicle is idle the engine is set to low speed to maintain silent operation and allow the operators to freely communicate. The vehicle is highly maneuverable due to an extremely small turning radius achieved by using a four wheel steering system. The exceptional maneuverability not only enables to operate in dense hangars but is remarkably shortening the loading time and increasing sortie rate. Various safety features are included to protect the operator, the vehicle and the aircraft:

  • Integrated dual driving modes: Operational mode using 4 wheels steering at limited speed and Traveling mode using 2 wheels steering at maximal speed.
  • Integrated tethered remote control keeping crew members hands out of table area.
  • The driver control is disabled, when arms and table control is transferred to the tethered remote control.
  • Integrated driver’s seat switch which prevents the vehicle from moving while the driver is not seated.
  • Integrated rupture valve which prevents lifting arms from falling upon hydraulic malfunction.
  • Integrated dual independent brake systems for service and parking.

The BL-1 table follows the USAF standard for ordnance adapters, fitting adapters from different vendors. In addition, PDI/BL offers unique telescopic adaptor, adaptor for MER and TER, and adaptor for guided missiles with bottom wings. The BL-1 incorporates state-of-the-art technology and protected by patents for the vehicle and the adapters.

ATT-II aircraft tugger

The ATT-II Towbarless Tug is a self propelled vehicle designed to lift both fixed-wing and rotary aircrafts.  The ATT-II can safely tow aircraft weighing up to 88,000 lbs., approximately 40 tons.  It grips the landing gear to lift and tow the aircraft.  The ATT-II demonstrates exceptional maneuverability in hangars and other close quarters by providing a zero turning radius around the lifting point.  It is propelled by a powerful 48HP diesel engine with a hydrostatic driving system.  The ATT-II is successfully used by air forces for over 15 years.
